Group Physiotherapy Program Exceptional Volunteering Opportunity

Aphasia Centre of Ottawa is currently looking for 2 volunteers for our Group Physiotherapy Program.

Work as an exercise partner with incredible individuals living with stroke and their family members
Opportunity to shadow and work with an experienced physiotherapist and an exercise therapist
Develop skills in adapted exercise instruction
Receive special training in supportive communication strategies
If you aspire to work with people living with stroke in the future this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain hands on experience!!

Volunteer Position Requirements

Must be an empathetic, enthusiastic, and energetic person to be well suited for the position
Physiotherapy or exercise background an asset
Attend 1-2 training sessions
Mondays:
2:15 pm - 3:15 pm
Thursdays:
10:00 am – 11:00 am and/or 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
