Welcome to the youth section of the Aphasia Centre of Ottawa’s web site. We are able to provide special support to youth, thanks to a grant from Telus. Over the last 18 years we have been providing support to families living with the disability of aphasia. We have become increasingly aware that many children and adolescents are living with a parent, grandparent or other family member who has aphasia. Many people tell us that you did not get an opportunity to talk to doctors or therapists. Others say they are confused and embarrassed and would rather not talk to anyone. This web site provides an opportunity to learn on your own or participate in the interactive Q & A page if you do have your own questions or concerns.
